Admission Policy

Universal College Patran is adhered to the rules and regulations regarding admissions set forth by the statutory organization that have recognized the programmes, Such as the University Grants Commission, the Government of India. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) etc. The admission policy for International students shall be designed as per International standards and guidelines.


In order to ensure transparency has enacted and followed an admission procedure and established an admission committee headed by Director Registrar of the college with members who are senior faculty, prominent academicians and admission heads. The Committee will convene as needed to develop and launch admission related procedures. In order to ensure that the rights, needs & interests of potential candiates looking for educational opportunities in various programmes are deemed to be addressed. The committee shall provide the necessary instructions


Universal College shall ensure the following:

  1. The college shall develop an updated prospectus with through information on the college vision and mission details of recognition and approval from various statutory authorities courses offered eligibility criteria (as per regulatory bodies wherever applicable), with details of course duration, job opportunities, mode of selection and Academia industry collaborations etc. All details shall be widely advertised in the state and National newspapers and announced on the Universal College official website as well.

  2. The prospectus must also include information on the various infrastructure facilities & essential amenities – Emergency medical services, Transport facilities, counselling facilities Library facilities Research facilities, Well – equipped laboratories, Tuck shops, Banking facilities, ATM, Sports complex, Eco- friendly ambience etc.

  3. The prospectus must include information about the college academic governance Intellectual capital & other statutory bodies.

  4. The prospectus shall provide comprehensive information about student’s guidance &career placements. Achievers details must be provided for students reference.

  5. The prospectus must include all the details regarding various scholarship programmes and accommodations for deserving and disadvantaged students.

  6. The college shall adhere to the Government of Punjab reservation policy (SC/ST/OBC/Physically disabled & others) while admitting new students.

  7. If an applicant withdraws from the programme, the college must establish a clear refund policy.

The following are some criteria that every admissions decision must adhere to:

  1. Admission at Universal College to any programmeis on academic standing, performance on the entrance exam at the state/ central level (Wherever applicable) followed by documents verification and a personal interview with prospective candidates. The candidates shall bring original certificates and attested copies of the documents for verification at the time of counselling.

  2. Candidates may apply online for any of the universal College different programmes through the link provided on the universal college website www.universalpatran.com .

  3. The selected candidate for admission as per the programme requirement are intimated through email with guidelines for further perusal.

  4. Admission under regulatory bodies, candidates on the waitlist will be permitted to enrol in the programme if the chosen candidate is not admitted for any reason.

  5. Allocation of seats for the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/Physically disabled & others) shall be as per the policy of the policy of the state Govt. through a council meeting, filled seats in the reserved category will be reviewed for admittance to the open category.

  6. According to the policy, scholarships and concessions are provided at the time of admission www.universalcollegepatran.com.

  7. If a withdrawal application is submitted on or after the specified period, costs will be reimbursed after a pro rata deduction and processing fees if the refund request is made before to the start of the session, The entire fee collected after a deduction of ₹ 1000 towards processing and Counselling fee will be refunded by the College to the candidate as per the refund policy.
